Our home has been newly remodeled with a modern flair throughout. Featuring a built-in electric fireplace and HDTV in the living room with all leather couches. Kitchen features stainless appliances with a view of the sand dunes while cooking. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and other items needed to cook while here, in addition to stove, refrigerator, and dish washer. Also in the kitchen, is located a coffee bar with drip, french press, and pour over coffee makers, and there is an instant hot water kettle for tea or hot chocolate. A washer and dryer are located off the kitchen for ease of use. The kitchen and dining room blend into an open floor plan. The three bedrooms feature new beds, the master suite has a king bed, bathroom with walk in shower and large closet space. The other two bedrooms have queen beds with walk in closets. The other bathroom has a shower/tub combo. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and room darkening shades. We do allow pets with a fee, and certain rules apply.
The views are amazing from sitting on the deck watching the sun rise over the mountains, to looking at the sand dunes as the light and clouds play and add a constantly changing look to the landscape. The sunsets are mesmerizing as you look across the expansiveness of the San Luis Valley and stay to watch the stars pop out in this certified dark sky space.
We are located just 5 miles from the entrance to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, and two miles from the road up to Zapata Falls. There are jeep and 4 wheeler trails in the area, as well as hiking trails and even Mt. Blanca which is a 14,000 ft peak. We are approximately 1 hour from the town of Antonito and the Cumbres and Toltec train. Alamosa is 30 min away and boasts many restaurants and several grocery stores such as City Market and Safeway, in addition to Wal-Mart.
